It is with profound sadness that the family announces that the tragic highway death of Cameron Griffiths occurred in Alberta on Wednesday December 27, 2017. Cameron is survived by his wife Jaimie; his mother Wilma and stepfather Hank; his father Gerry and stepmother Jan; two brothers Ryan and Shawn and his two hooligans, Pouncey and Kiesel. Meeting Cameron at the gates was his beloved Hampton B. Awesome. He was predeceased by numerous aunts, uncles and friends. Cameron was born on August 13, 1976 in Saskatoon to Wilma and Gerry Griffiths. Cameron was baptized in the Catholic faith and attended Catholic Schools; Thomas Elementary School and Holy Cross High School. After graduating he moved to Kamloops, taking Arts & Science. He then traveled to Taiwan to teach English. He later returned to Saskatoon where he ran The Fitness Corner and worked in the oil patch. In 2004 he met the love of his life Jaimie. They were married July 7, 2012. In 2014 Cameron went back to school where he took his Primary Care Paramedic Course. He did his practicum in Bonnyville and was hired on by Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority. Cameron loved being part of this EMS family. Cameron had finally found his passion, which was saving lives. Many thanks to this wonderful extended family who with open arms welcomed both Cameron and Jaimie. Cameron loved each and everyone of them and thought the world of them. Cameron loved spending time with Jaimie and his two beloved hooligans, Pouncey and Kiesel. His love of the Pittsburgh Steelers took them to Pittsburgh. He loved music and in general loved people. Cameron was blessed with many friends throughout his school years and to this day, they are friends. He always had time to stop and chat. His favorite times were spent with Jaimie and the hooligans, whether it was watching football or just hanging out. Memorial donations in Cameron's memory may be made to STARS.
