Obituary of Rick Middagh

Rick “Bear” Middagh October 15, 1951 – February 5, 2018 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Rick “Bear” Middagh on February 5, 2018 at Royal University Hospital. Rick is lovingly remembered by his children Jeremy Middagh, Shannon (Gary)Watters, and friends Carole-Anne Wilson, Jim and Heather Richardson and Kristina Broome. He was predeceased by his wife Lori Middagh and infant son Bradley. Rick was born in Nelson, BC on October 15, 1951 and went to school in Surry, BC. In 1978 he met Lori and they were soon married in 1979. Rick was employed as a long-haul and gravel truck driver from 1991 to 2015. During that time he had the opportunity to travel all across Canada and the United States. Over the years Rick was generous with his time and energy, and assisted with organizations such as Volunteer Firefighter and Rescue of Salmon Arm, BC, the Trucker Pen Pals, and the 5th Avenue Association. Rick loved spending time with family, camping, biking, reading, and listening to his favorite music. He will be remembered for his generous spirit and thoughtful nature. A special thank you to all the staff of 5th Floor Royal University Hospital for the wonderful care they provided to Rick.

Funeral

A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Family Centre (333 4th Avenue North) 24th Street and 4th , Courtesy Parking at Saskatoon Funeral Home, followed by a reception to visit and share memories of how Rick has touched our lives.
