Obituary of June Eleanor Anderson

June Anderson passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on March 2, 2018. June was born to Violet & Carl Anderson on June 13th, 1925 in Saskatoon, SK where she was also raised. During her school years, she attended Victoria School and Nutana Collegiate. After high school, she worked for a period of time at University of Saskatchewan Chemistry Dept. In 1951, she made the move to Winnipeg, where she started out working at the Winnipeg Grain Exchange. Eventually she decided on a career as a paralegal, working for many years at the law firm of Newman Maclean. After her retirement in 1990, June spent many hours volunteering for various organizations, most notably at the Deer Lodge Centre, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and was very active in her church. June was someone who always put everyone and everything ahead of herself and enjoyed giving back in any way she could. She would travel back to Saskatoon often, to visit with friends and family and treasured the yearly family summer vacations to Waskesiu. Left to mourn her passing are her sister Barbara Anderson, nephews Anthony Korol and Stephen (Danielle) Korol, great nephew Nolan Korol and great niece Brynn Korol all of Saskatoon. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Prairie Spring Care Home and Extendicare for the exceptional care they provided. A service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, 525 Wardlaw Road, Winnipeg, MB.
