Donald Kwock Jung Yip

The family of Don Yip is saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Jolene; his daughter, Ellison, (Jun Cruz and their children Amy (Joey Silot and their son Matao), and Matthew; his son Ernie (Meelai Bossaer and their son Michael Bossaer). Don was predeceased by his brothers Sim, David, Dan, Lam, Hank, Carl, and Cheng; and is survived by his sisters Ying Lee and Lan Shon. Don enjoyed get togethers with family and friends whether is was for coffee, dim sum or a home-cooked meal. He loved playing mah jong on a social level. Don will be remembered by his ever giving generosity, kindness and compassion. He wasn’t afraid to help anyone in need and was always ready to listen. He will be deeply missed by many who knew him. A special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at the Saskatoon Royal University Hospital and the Saskatoon Luther Special Care Home. The family wish to give a heartfelt indebtedness to Suzanne Yip, Ivan Jen and Raymond Yip for their loving care and guidance.
