The family of Heather Anderson are deeply saddened to announce her passing on October 26, after courageously living with cancer for five years. Heather will be greatly missed and warmly remembered by her family, many friends, neighbours, former colleagues, and members of Saskatoon Orchid Society (SOS). Her immense strength and genuine care for her loved ones, along with her many passions, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Heather was raised by Eva and Jack Broadley in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. At the age of 14, Heather met Barry, and they would go on to spend 57 years together. They formed a strong partnership, balancing successful careers with a fulfilling family life and meaningful friendships. Heather was part of the last class to graduate from the nursing program at Regina General Hospital. She deeply valued working with seniors and spent much of her career working at Jubilee Residences. After retirement, Heather contributed her talents to the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise (CAFE), where she made many meaningful connections. Heather's biggest passion was her love of Orchids, she was an executive member of the SOS and spent much of her free time cultivating and collecting plants from all over the world. When not tending to plants, Heather could be found driving around in a red Mini Cooper, taking a cooking class in Palm Springs, or spending time at Waskesiu Lake with family and friends.

Heather is survived by her children Scott [Meaghan (Asher)], Blake, and Rebecca (Adam), and close family friend Martha Loewen. She is predeceased by her husband Barry, her brother John, and her parents Jack and Eva. She was a proud mother who cherished the opportunity to share her interests with her children and her beloved grandson, Asher. Heather and Barry delighted in hosting gatherings in their backyard, where the warmth of their hospitality shone brightest during pool parties, especially when the neighborhood kids joined in on the fun.
