Lillian Verdella Boatness

The family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Verdella with family by her side on February 26, 2016 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband Karl; Verdella is lovingly remembered by her children Karen and Ron (Kathleen); grandchildren Paul (Trina) Boatness and Tara (Jay) Carruthers and 6 great grandchildren. Verdella was born to Homer & Lauretta Glauser in the Delisle district and grew up on the family farm with brothers Byron, Maynard, Elwood and sister Isabelle. She moved to Saskatoon in 1945 and worked as an administrative assistant at the National Farmers Union for many years. Verdella devoted her life to the needs of her family and was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will truly miss her sense of humour and loving support which she shared with everyone who knew her. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staffs of both Villa Royale and Stensrud Lodge for the care and compassion during Verdella's residencies.
