It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shannon Gartner on September 9th, 2024. Shannon was born on March 31st, 1959, in Saskatoon. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Pius Gartner, daughter Molly Clark (Robbie), mother Barabra Brayford, brothers Doug, Bill (Leslie) and Patrick (Ruby) and sister Sheila (Morley) and many wonderful in-laws: Marie Gartner, Agnes Skinner (Paul), Ludwina Fischer (Jerome), Joyce Gartner, Richard Gartner, Ronald Gartner (Caroline), Patrick Gartner (Marg), Anthony Gartner, Elizabeth Witzany (Wayne), David Gartner (Joanne), Robert Gartner (Joyce), Janet Stang(John), Bernard Gartner (Barb); and many nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved dog Stella. She is predeceased by her father Darvin Rea, and her in-laws Francis and Jeanette Gartner, Leonard Gartner, Michael and Denise Gartner, and Leona Gartner. Shannon worked at St. Paul's Hospital for 32 years before retiring in 2011. She successfully beat lung cancer in 2022. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers while they worked on their race cars, planting flowers and visiting her friends.

A celebration of Shannon's life will be held Monday, September 16th, 2024 from 10 am until 2pm at Canlan Ice Sports Jemini.
