William Rae

Rae, William (Bill) passed away peacefully at Stensrud Lodge Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Bill is survived by his loving wife Joan of 55 years; his 4 children Jim (Janice), Wanda (Kelly), Colleen (Darrell) & Mark (Yvette). He will be lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren & 9 great grand-children, sisters Donna (Gary) & Marion (Fred), sister-in-law Freda & brother-in-law Bob. Bill is pre-deceased by his parents James & Esther, brother Johnnie & sister Lois. Born March 29, 1935 in Arcola, SK. Joan & Bill raised their family in Oxbow, SK. Bill worked in the oilfield for many years & was an owner in Red Hawk Well Services prior to his massive stroke in 1992. Joan & Bill made a difficult decision in 1996 & moved away from family & friends near Oxbow to relocate to Saskatoon. The family would like to thank the staff at Stensrud Lodge for Bill’s care over the last 6 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
