Obituary of Dyck Judy Lynn

DYCK, Judy Judy Lynn Dyck (née Straub) passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the age of 68 years. She was born the oldest child to Arthur and Elenor Straub. Her early years were spent in Moose Jaw and Swift Current until the family moved to Saskatoon in 1962. After completing high school, Judy earned her teaching certificate and taught in Borden. It was during her time teaching in Borden that she met, and on November 6, 1971 married Wendell Dyck. Judy moved to his farm outside of Borden and spent the rest of her life there. Judy devoted her life to her husband and children. Throughout various health difficulties, she remained optimistic and cheerful. An avid bowler, she loved to read, and enjoyed gardening. In her later years, Judy took great joy from watching her grandchildren grow and laughing at the things little children do. A quiet and gentle soul, she was unwavering in her commitment to her family and friends. Judy will be lovingly remembered by Wendell, her husband of almost 44 years; her daughters and their families, Carol (Leighton) Tebay and their children David Fisher, Matthew Fisher and Lynae Tebay of Saskatoon; and Elizabeth (Curtis) Torrens and their children Ryley, Anna and Shelby of Borden; and sisters Pat Steele of Lacombe, AB and Laurie Ida of Surrey, BC. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Elenor Straub and son-in-law, Michael Fisher. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
