Obituary of Mabel Roberts

Roberts, Mabel  - Mabel passed away on June 2, 2018 with Emily, Chris and Tyson by her side. Born on August 21, 1913 at Wild Rose, Sk to Charles and Catherine Preston. She married Albert Edward Roberts on June 22, 1936. She was predeceased by: her husband in November 1966, her son, James Edward in December 2006, and her sisters, Kay and Winnie. Mabel is survived by: her brother, Ken, her daughter, Emily (Wayne) McBeath and their daughter Christine (Darcy) Cook and great grandson, Tyson Cook; grandchildren: Colleen (Stacy), Boyd (Carol) and Kirk; great grandchildren: Matthew, Megan, Jonathan,  Brittany and James, and great great grandchildren. Mabel accomplished many things in her lifetime. After her husband died, she worked at Snow’s Confectionary, owned Silver Crest Confectionary with her son, she was the President of the Women’s Auxillary of St. Albins Cathedral in Prince Albert; was a member of the Alter Guild and was the accountant for All Saints Anglican Church in Saskatoon.; and she also worked at Kresgies. Mabel loved travelling and spending time with family and friends. Her famous  Sunday dinners will be forever missed. Her greatest times were looking after and spending time with family and her little Tyson. The family would like to thank Luther Heights for their care during her residence and Extendicare for their loving care and support in her final days. Her funeral serivice will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at All Saints Anglican Church.
