Edward Wess (Capt) Retired was born Jan. 6, 1928 and passed away Sept. 1, 2018. He was predeceased by his wife, Tillie of 58 years on Aug. 6, 2006; his mother Lena and sisters, Adel and Helen. Ed is survived by his son, Larry (Lorne), his daughter, Linda (Henry) ; his grandchildren, April (Darrel), and Kelly (RoseAnn) and great grandson, Palle. Ed was a Fire Fighter with the Saskatooon Fire Department from 1954 – 1984 retiring as a Captain. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. His big passions were camping and fishing with his family, and many trips to the mountains, and numerous hunting trips. Ed was also a passionate golfer and was a member of the Willows Golf and Country Club for many years. A Vigil of Prayer will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. Both services will be held at St. Paul’s Co-Cathedral (corner of 22nd St. and Spadina Cres.). Right of Committal will take place in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery
