She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ed, son David, brother Brian (Angela), goddaughter Justine, and numerous other nieces and nephews and their families.

Joan was born November 29, 1931, in Surrey, England, but as a child she was temporarily relocated to Wales during the London Blitz of World War II. In 1947, being the youngest person to fly transatlantic unaccompanied at that time, Joan immigrated to Canada. She worked a punch card machine for the T. Eaton Company in the records department prior to meeting and marrying Edward Zolotarchuk. They married in Toronto, Ontario, November 19th, 1955, four years later in 1959, they moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where Joan worked for the Hudson Bay Company as a sales clerk for 10 years. Joan was a long time member of the Rambling Rovers Trailer Club, where many great times were spent on camping trips, playing cards, and sharing pot lucks. Joan was also a member of Mount Royal Emmanuel United Church, where she served as a committee member, and sang in the choir. She loved to sing, and was a member of the Orpheus 60 choir group for many years. Joan was an avid bowler, and also enjoyed her Monday coffee group, where she cherished the close, and caring friends that supported her in recent years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Society (101 - 440 Second Ave. N, Saskatoon). A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Mount Royal Emmanuel United Church (521 Vancouver Ave N), on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 11am.
