William (Bill) Thomas Wood passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 12, 2019, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, at the age of 64. Bill is survived by his sister, Nancy Elander, Sherwood Park, AB; his brother, Don M. Wood, Medicine Hat, AB; niece, Jennifer (Brenden) Bianchini; niece, Allison (Carl) Reine, and their children, Celia and Edwin; nephew, Morgan (Sayaka) Elander, and their children, Sora and Luna. Bill was predeceased by his father and mother, Don and Doreen Wood, of Medicine Hat, AB. Bill was born in Eston, SK, on October 17, 1954, moved to Prince Albert, SK, (1957) and then to Saskatoon, SK, (1973), where he worked as a warehouseman for Western Grocers. Bill will be sorely missed by his loving family, his music loving friends including Ron and Gord and the people that attend GordStock, the Buchanan Family, his friend Derwyn, his friend Tom and the neighbours who appreciated his meticulously mowed lawn and shoveled sidewalks. Interment of cremated remains will be at a later date. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
