Don Sanderson passed away peacefully, Tuesday April 16, at the age of 73. Don was born on February 7, 1946 in Regina Saskatchewan to Clark and Beatrice (Ardelan) Sanderson. Don obtained his teaching certificate and went to Northern Saskatchewan to teach where he met is first wife Audrey (Smith). Don soon left teaching and built his business in the linen supply industry. He spent the rest of his career as General Manager of Alsco Linen in Saskatoon, and Vancouver. Don was an active member in the Saskatoon business community.  He and his family spent much of their free time at their beloved Waskesiu Lake where he pursued his love of golf and nature.  Don loved family, good food, great wine, travel and entertaining. After his retirement, Don and Audrey spent their winters in Palm Springs and travelled internationally. Following the death of his first wife in 2009, Don married Colleen Zuk in 2011, and they continued to travel and spend time in Palm Springs. He loved being a Grandpa to his new extended family. Don also loved the theatre and was a long time member of Persephone Theatre. Don dealt with poor hearing which made it difficult to enjoy plays so he and his wife Colleen, donated a hearing impairment aid system to the Persephone so that he and others with hearing difficulties could enjoy the theatre for years to come. He will be remembered as a loving and supportive father, grandfather, husband and mentor, for his dedication to the Saskatoon and Waskesiu Lake communities and his love and generosity for his friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Audrey May (Smith). He is survived by his daughters, Leslie and Lindsay (Jon Stene) Sanderson, his wife Colleen Zuk and her children Jennifer (Ted) Fisher, Cameron (Sarah) Zuk and his brother Ken (Penny) Sanderson. He is loved and remembered by his grandchildren (Andy, Serena, Kepler, Mackenzie, Emerson and William); his friends and extended family. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM on April 27th, 2019 at the Saskatoon Golf and Country Club, 865 Cartwright Street, Saskatoon, SK, Canada.
