Obituary of Laurine Alvina Aldorfer

It is with great sadness that the family of Laurine Aldorfer announces her passing on October 13, 2019 at the age of 91. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Kelvin Aldorfer, Carol Aldorfer (Randy) and Colin Aldorfer (Pam). She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward, and her two children: Elaine and Lloyd Aldorfer. Laurine was a very proud grandmother to her three grandson’s: Zenon Lock (Kirsten), Patrick Lock (Mia) and Colby Aldorfer. She was also predeceased by her parents: Carl and Alma Carlson, and her sisters: Esther Voiken (Joe), Mildred Myers (Jim) and Alice Gudjonson (Bryon), and brothers: Arther Carlson, Arnold Carlson (Odette) and Orville Carlson (Ida). Laurine was born and raised in Meacham, SK. She met Edward in 1945 and they were married in 1947 and then moved to Saskatoon, SK. to start their new life together. Mom worked at McGavins for a short time, then raised her family, and then worked at Simpson Sears in the Midtown Plaza until she retired. Mom liked to create art and had many hobbies; she especially loved needle point, of which she created over 150 beautiful pictures. Mom’s greatest love was being around family and friends. Her smile, all the laughter and memories she helped create will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Laurine’s name to the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery Fund (Box 75, Meacham, SK., S0K 2V0). A celebration of Mom’s life will be held at Augustana Lutheran Church (1201 Broadway Ave.) on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:00p.m. At our mom’s request, dress is to be very informal. Mom will be laid to rest with Dad and Lloyd at Woodlawn Cemetery.
