Delores Mae Schuler passed away quickly and peacefully after a very short period of illness with heart failure.

Delores was born to (William) Bennie and Amanda Westgard on August 27th, 1935, on a farm at 24-21-17-W3rd, near White Bear, Saskatchewan. She attended Russelton School and later White Bear school.

On August 8th, 1952, she married Clifford Schuler, who she would share her life with until his passing in November, 2016. Together they raised a family of seven children. Diane (Patrick) Taylor, Debbie (Laurie) Hardy, Faye (Per) Thowsen, Bill (Lonita) Schuler, Tim (Jackie) Schuler, Janice (Ryan) Tynning, and Rhonda (Ricky) Iula. From there, they went on to enjoy an impressive 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

Of everything in Dolly's life, by far the most important was family. She was the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, foster mother, sister, and Auntie that anyone could ever have asked for.

She was also always very close with her brothers and sisters, and in the last couple of years she was fortunate enough to share the same hallway with her sisters Marion and Jean and brother-in-law George. They quickly became known to residents and staff at The Bentley as "The Giggle Group" which is a good indication of what type of mood they were generally all in.

Delores lived in the White Bear area until 1966 when they moved to Saskatoon, and back and forth between the two until 1972 when they sold the farm. They lived inSaskatoon until 1976 when they moved to acreages in the Martensville area. In 1998 they moved to Swift Current where they remained until after Clifford's passing. Delores then moved back to Saskatoon where she lived at The Bentley and enjoyed a "retirement lifestyle."

A funeral service will be held Monday December 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Kinsmen Telemiracle would be appreciated by the family.
