Howard Fullford left a big hole in everyone’s heart when he passed away December 20, 2019.
Howard was born in 1948 to Howard George Fullford and Victoria Jean Fullford in Wynyard, Saskatchewan.  He is survived by his sister, Rae Schidlo, her husband, Tony and two nephews, Kurt and Michael, plus their significant others, Carlie and Stephanie, and his grand-niece, Quinn.  He is also survived by his Siamese cat, Chena.  Howard loved his friends.  And he will be forever in their hearts.  Howard worked for the Dairy Pool and then the post office, delivering parcels.  He always carried dog biscuits in his pocket and was greeted at many doors by tongue licking dogs.  He was so trustworthy that occasionally a female homeowner would ask him in to open her jar of pickles.  In his spare time he would golf and golf, mow lawns for seniors and then in the winter shovel their sidewalks and driveways.  This long thin stretch of man had boundless energy.  When he retired, he played up to 63 holes in one day, capturing several hole in ones, walking and pulling his cart. At Christmas time he enjoyed being one of the Red Nose volunteers, escorting inebriated but responsible citizens to their homes. In the last few years Howard spent almost a month in Mesa, Arizona golfing with his friends. Howard also ran for Ward 6 councillor in Saskatoon’s election in 2012 and 2016.  Howard passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family.  The doctors, nurses and staff at St. Paul’s Hospital provided caring and constant comfort. A Celebration of Howard’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Willow’s Golf and Country Club.  In lieu of flowers donations in Howard’s honour, can be made to St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit (1702, 20th St W. S7M 0Z9).
