Where she went to a small schoolhouse near the farm with her brothers and sisters. Nettie continued to live alone in the house in Saskatoon where we grew up, then Ilarian Residence in 2012 and finally Luther Care Home in 2014. She had a green thumb, nurturing her beautiful flowers and vegetable garden. She also worked for a time at Kilburn Hall in Saskatoon. She had a passion for handicrafts and was skilled at quilting, embroidery, needlepoint and Easter eggs. Nettie was loved by many, particularly with relatives, long term neighbors and those with whom she had deep rooted friendships. Many thanks to the nurses and staff at Luther Special Care Home for their care and compassion. Nettie was a loving wife, mother and grand mother. She will be sadly missed. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
