Anita Klein

Obituary of Anita Louise Klein

Klein, Anita Louise Klein (nee Wasyluk)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Klein on Tuesday March 31, 2020 at the age of 81.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary and John Wasyluk and brother, Gary (Laurie) Wasyluk. Anita is survived by her three children; son, Brian (Sandra) Klein; son, Randy (Paula) Klein; daughter, Lori-Ann (Mike) Romanski; siblings, Victor (Lynne), Janet, and Valerie; nieces and nephews, Christian (Grace), Adrienne (James), Susan (James), David, Kevin (Jill), and Chelsea; and her beloved grandchildren, Ariel, Christian, Stephen, Jessica, Hannah, Sarah, Benjamin and Maxwell.

Anita was born in Calgary, Alberta on December 16, 1938. She left school early to work as an administrative assistant at various places to help support her family. Anita lived in many different cities before finally arriving in Saskatoon, SK where she lived the rest of her days with her family.

In 1980 Anita began working at Buckwolds where she stayed until she retired in 2001. Anita loved to paint, watch figure skating, watch The Shopping Channel, knit, read, play piano, and in her early days sing in Sweet Adelines, but she loved nothing more than her children and grandchildren. Her love for jewellery and gemstones will carry on with her family. There was not a stone or a piece of jewellery Anita could not name.
In her early days Anita loved to entertain family and friends in her home. Although she was not a swimmer she loved to have gatherings with family and friends by the family pool in Saskatoon.

Anita (mom) had a generous heart, regardless of her circumstances.  Giving gifts to others brought her so much joy.  We are in unprecedented times.  In lieu of flowers or donations please remember mom by taking the time to give a loved one a gift in her honour.  We know mom will be smiling with this being done in her memory.

As it was Anita’s wish to not have a funeral, we are having a casual come and go memorial in her honour on Sunday, August 29th between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.  The address is 79 Applewood Lane, Applewood Estates.  Watch for the signs along the way.
