JORDAN,

Norma Fern

1919 – 2020

The family and friends of Norma Fern Jordan sadly announce her passing on April 16, 2020 at the age of 100.  Norma was born on July 25, 1919, in Hamiota, Manitoba to Elizabeth Bell (Gutteridge) and Norman Jordan.  The family moved to Saskatoon in 1928 and found a new family in Knox United Church.  Norma worked as a secretary for a number of businesses in Saskatoon prior to her retirement in 1984.   She travelled extensively, loved to read, knit, and watch curling and enjoyed Sunday brunches with her Knox friends.  She served as Knox Board Secretary for several terms and was Church Archivist for several decades.  She was predeceased by her parents and infant brother Sanford and is survived by cousins, her Knox family, and her Luther Tower friends.  Thanks to Dr. Martens and the staff of Luther Tower, Palisades Intermediate Care Home and Oliver Lodge for their compassionate care of Norma in her last years.  A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Knox United Church, 838 Spadina Crescent with appropriate health precautions observed and masks required.  Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing to make a donation in Norma’s memory may contribute to the Knox United Church Capital Fund, 858 Spadina Crescent, Saskatoon, SK S7K 3H4 or a charity of their choice. Condolences may be left for the family at www.saskatoonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home.
