Karen LaVonne Graham passed away suddenly at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on September 21, 2020 at the age of 60 years.

Karen will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Donald and Eileen Graham; her siblings - Gary (Sandy), Carol (Allan) Petovello, Cathy, Kevin (Claire), Connie (Eugene) Jeffrey, Garth, Garnet (Sharon); numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She is predeceased by her grandparents.

Karen was born in Neilburg, Saskatchewan on March 23, 1960. She took grades 1-12 at Marsden. Karen was popular with her classmates and excelled at track and field events. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Costume Design at the University of Dalhousie in Halifax, NS. She also completed several classes in psychology while there.

Karen took great pride in her work and was an extremely hard worker, always giving 110% to the task at hand. She loved all animals but was especially fond of dogs and cats, fostering many of them over the years. Her last dog, Winston, was a stray puppy she found at Loon Lake and under her love and guidance he won First Place in an Obedience competition in Lloyd. She was a member of the Lloydminster Kennel and Obedience Club and New Hope Dog Rescue in Saskatoon

Karen was an excellent cook, baker and seamstress and could also play a “mean” banjo. She was an avid outdoor person. When she lived in Neilburg she could be found helping dad with the yard work or in the garden and after she moved to Saskatoon she liked to help Garth mowing the grass and caring for the trees.

Karen had a tender heart and even though she had very little for herself she would give you anything she had if she thought you could use it. She loved her family and was especially fond of doing anything with her nieces and nephews, whether it was playing games, doing puzzles, watching movies or working alongside them, offering tips and advice.
