Dana would tell you, that although all of us feel his life was not near long enough, it was full and blessed. Dana Lee Volk is predeceased by his Father Edward Volk, his Grandparents Rosie and Hector Tellier, and his beloved nephew Chance Volk.  He is survived by his loving partner Derek Brown, his Mother Marie and his nine siblings; Donetta, Cletes, Camille, Carmen, Cory, Kristan, Maria, Rocky and Shayla. As well as many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and many Aunts and Uncles. He also leaves behind a large second family in his amazing community of close friends. The loss of Dana will be felt by many people as he was the kind of person that if you knew him you could not help but love him. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every day in his own unique way.  He was born and raised in Unity Saskatchewan, and had an amazing childhood with his family on the farm. He spent his growing teen years and early adulthood in Saskatoon.  He then spent some time living in Vancouver and eventually settled in Calgary. Although Saskatoon would always be considered “home”, Calgary was where Dana built his life with Derek. The two of them had an amazing circle of friends and they were able to do a great deal of travelling and were always up for adventures.  Dana loved cheering on his Riders and his Flames, but most of all he just loved to have a good time. He will be remembered most for his amazing wit and his sense of humour. It was hard to be sad around Dana because he always had so much joy to give. His “joive de vive” was infectious. But the most important thing about him was (like his Dad) he never judged anyone. He took everyone for what they were. He was a truly beautiful person and touched many lives.

Take care of you.
