Barbara Glenn (Barb) Campbell

1936 - 2020

Barbara Glenn (Barb) Campbell, 83, of , Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away on Friday, December 18th,2020 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Barb was born at home near Kelliher, Saskatchewan to Auther and Ada Riedel on Tuesday, December 22,1936. She went to high school in Kelliher and graduated in 1955. She went on to earn a Laboratory Technician diploma. She was the first person to ever graduate from that program at Peterborough Civic Hospital, in Peterborough, Ont. She worked as a laboratory technician for 10 years and then went on to be a homemaker.  Barb enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Barb was also very generous with her time and giving where she could, to who she could. Barb was a very active blood donor with Canadian Blood Donor Services. She had donated blood more than 300 times, her final donation was January 2015 at 78 years old!

Barb is survived by her son Clayton Campbell of Okotoks, AB, daughter, June(David) Hudson of High River, AB and son John(Linda) Campbell of Three Hills, AB, sister, Myrtle Baxter of Saskatoon, SK, brother, Allan(Jeanette) Riedel of Kelliher, SK, sister Valerie Ouellette of Airdre, AB and brother Stanley(Glenda) Riedel of Lloydminster,SK.
Barb is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica(Blair) Ray of Blackfalds, AB, Erin(Randy)Mitchell of High River,AB, Dylan(Andrea) Hudson of Longview, AB, Thomas Campbell of Edmonton, AB and Emma-Lee Campbell of Three Hills,AB and great grandchildren, Saoirse and Rowan Mitchell of High River, AB and Drake Ray, Blake Branconnier of Blackfalds, AB. She is also survived by numerous wonderful nieces and nephews. Barb is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Wilf” Campbell, mother, Ada Riedel, father, Auther Riedel, sister, Bethene Resner and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Campbell and brothers-in-law, David Ouellette, Leroy Resner and William Baxter.
Memorial Donations may be made to  the WarAmps, STARS, Red Cross , Salvation Army or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Memorial service will be held: TBD, once Covid-19 allows us to have larger gatherings.
