DENNIS LAWRENCE THEEDE
DEC. 15, 1944 - APRIL 20, 2021
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Lawrence Theede, at the age of 76 years, on April 20/21. He is survived by his ex-wife, Sharlene Theede and their two daughters, Tanya Neufeld and Michelle Theede and his three grandchildren, Justin and Logan Neufeld and Jessica Sharpe. Also by his sister Marlene Gregoire (Gerry) and their children, Linda (Wheeler), Chantal, and Jason (Chantal). As well as numerous cousins and his long-time friend, George Mattus from Winnipeg, MB. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Theresa (Daisy) Theede as well as many aunts and uncles.
Dennis grew up in Central Butte, Sask. and had a love of farming and John Deere tractors. He collected John Deere tractor models and loved visiting the museums over the years with his family.
Dennis worked in road construction and shared many adventures/misadventures with his best friend, George Mattus. He went on to work in plumbing/sheet metal before joining the Saskatoon School Board as a caretaker for 23 years. He joined Adesa Auction to fill in 10 years of his retirement. Dennis was also a true chocoholic and loved his cookies. He carried that love of food to having a good glass of rum, which he acquired on his three cruises with Sharlene, on special occasions and eating ribs. He always said "you can NEVER have too much chocolate!"
He will forever be in our hearts and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m at Saskatoon Funeral Home and will be livestreamed and recorded for later viewing here on Dennis’ tribute page. Dennis will be laid to rest with his parents on May 17th, 2021 in Central Butte, SK.
The family requests no flowers but a donation to The Heart and Stroke or a charity of your choice may be made in his name.
Goodbye Dad/Grandpa, we love you!
