Our dear son Max Struthers found his peace on May 5, 2021.

Max was born on June 25, 2002 in Saskatoon where he lived with his Mom (Helge), Dad (Gord), brother Walker and his brother’s girlfriend Tatayana. He attended Ecole River Heights School and Marion M. Graham Collegiate.

Max had great determination and became good at pretty much anything he put his mind to. He enjoyed video games and was sought after as a teammate and feared as an opponent in online shootouts. He also enjoyed sports. He played basketball and football and spent many hours practicing tricks on his skateboard, snowboard and BMX bike. He enjoyed nature and was always up for fishing trips, bird hunts and hiking with his Mom.

Max loved to travel and meet new people and managed to see a good bit of the world in the short time he had.

What distinguished Max most was his kind heart and generous nature. He was calm and got along well with others. He could disagree without provoking and had a special gift for cooling tempers and bringing people together.

We looked forward to sharing the life that would have grown around his good nature and many talents. His loss fills us with sadness, but we are grateful for the time we had with him and will draw strength from the memory of his good heart and fierce determination.

Max will be remembered by close friends and family at a memorial service on Friday, May 14. Presentations will be shared on a memory page at www.SaskatoonFuneralHome.com after the service.

Our family offers its heartfelt thanks to all of the good people at Royal University Hospital who helped us through a most difficult time. The compassionate care you provided for Max and his family touched us deeply.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the RUH Foundation.
