Julia Pool, formally of Blaine Lake passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, July 8th at St Ann's Care home in Saskatoon, with her loving son Lionel by her side.

Julia was predeceased by her husband Ray Pool, Parents Philippe and Rose Boutin, brother Louis Boutin, brother-in-law Dwight Marquis and Arthur Casavant (Lionel’s Father). She is survived by her son Lionel (Deborah), grandchildren Kira (Dan), Clay (Brianne), Amanda (Alex) and Nick (Kris) and great grandchildren Kaylee, Madison, Logan.  Brother and Sisters; Pat, Maurice (Audrey), Art (Donna), Bea (Jim), Mariette (Ray), Cecile (Lee).  Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Julia lived her life in faith and always in service of others. She saw the good in everyone and always put her needs aside to assist anyone.  For 45 years Julia worked in the banking industry and the world of finance, along with raising a family and working on the farm.  Julie was a true country girl at heart. She loved all aspects of the farm and enjoyed ATV rides in the pasture while checking on the horses and cattle. She enjoyed trail rides with family and friends which always involved trail lunches, refreshments, along with lively conversation and plenty of laughs.  Her true joy in life was family, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved to shower them with gifts. She loved to garden and took more joy in sharing her harvest with others than keeping for herself. Many reaped the rewards of this bounty, receiving gift baskets of R&J (Raymond and Julie) preserves.

Lionel and Debbie would like to thank Julia’s sisters and brothers (and spouses), Marlene and Celia for all the care, and assistance that they gave Julia and our family. We thank-you for bringing joy to my mother’s final months and days through your selfless unwavering love and support.   We also thank the nurses, care aids and support staff St Ann’s Long Term Care home for the exceptional care they gave Julia in her final days.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 15, 2021 at 1:30 pm at St Patrick’s Parish (3339 Centennial Drive, Saskatoon).
