It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, loyal friend and all around amazing woman, at the age of 62. She died suddenly but peacefully, after her 2nd battle with cancer. Left to grieve are her husband Norm, daughter Dana, dog Nessa, sister Lisa Hockey, cousin Doug McLean (Marlene Allen), sister's-in-laws, Vi Crowell (Jim), Rosalee Kalinowski (Jerome), Karen Clothier (Ray), and brother-in-law, Lorne Derksen (Betty). As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Saskatoon, most of her childhood was spent growing up in Montgomery Place. While attending Mount Royal High School she met her future husband, Norm, they married in 1977, eventually settling in  North Park for the last 35 years. Her first job at 16 was at Ponderosa Steak House. After graduating high school, she worked at Cherry Insurance for 16 years, leaving upon the birth of their daughter, Dana. Colleen had many talents, knitting, crocheting, and sewing, and playing piano. She also did lots of volunteer work, which included sitting on the board of the Crisis Nursery, and spending many years as Program Coordinator for the North Park - Richmond Heights Community Association. She was always helping out with school activities. Her final career before retirement, was driving school bus, for Hertz Northern and 1st Student. Colleen was a dedicated and proud dance mom. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved movies, movie trivia, camping and travel. Including trips to Disneyland and Disney World.  She will always be remembered for her humour and kind heart.
