Marjorie Bell

Obituary of Marjorie Etta Bell

It is with fond memories that we announce the passing of our Mom at the amazing age of 101 years.

She is lovingly remembered by her three sons, Jerome (Gwen), Phil (Debi) and Kevin, her grandchildren, Rick, Steve, Wendy and Jen and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Paige, Finn and Jett.

Mom grew up in Floral and Saskatoon. She met Lew, the love of her life, in Prince Albert, where they were employed by dad’s uncle at Bell’s Feed and Seed. They were together for 67 years. She followed him to Halifax during the war when he was in the navy and back to Prince Albert. There were many more moves to different homes and cities and finally to Saskatoon when dad retired.

She was a very gentle person and a terrific mother who devoted a large part of her life to her family, providing a loving home and was always supportive of our adventures while growing up.

She loved to write in her spare time, was an avid family historian, loved picnics and was famous for her shortbread cookies.

All are welcome to attend the graveside service at Floral Cemetery on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Debra Berg officiating, followed by a luncheon at Agar's Corner. Mom is being laid to rest where she will be surrounded by her husband Lew and daughter Ellen and many more family and friends that have passed before her. (Floral Cemetery is located 2 km west of Agar's Corner on Floral Road, off Highway 16.)
