Elsie is predeceased by: her parents, Ewart and Florence Margaret Coulter; her siblings, David Coulter, Iris Coulter and Charlie (Alma) Coulter; her brother-in-law, Teddy Freedman; her husband, Kenneth Rousell and his siblings.
Elsie Anne Coulter was born April 15, 1935. She was raised in the Nipawin and Aylsham area. She attended the Moose Plains School to grade 10 and at a later date got her grade 12 GED.
Elsie married Ken on July 1, 1958 in Saskatoon at the St. Thomas Wesley United Church. Together they farmed the Rousell homestead near Juniata, Saskatchewan and raised 5 children. Kevin and Laurie still farm the homestead.
When Elsie and Ken moved from the farm to Saskatoon this didn’t slow them down as they were still always at the farm helping. Even when Ken passed away Elsie kept on farming with Kevin.
Elsie was always happy to host family and friends. She made sure no one left without getting fed.
She looked forward to babysitting grandchildren and spending time with her great grandchildren.
Elsie had a knack for finding bargains and was always thinking of others and what they might need. This was very evident when her house was packed up and many treasures were found still waiting to be gifted.
Any donations in Elsie’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army.
Elsie’s celebration of life will be at the Edward's Family Centre - 333-4th Ave N - on June 11, 2022 at 2pm. Parking available at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
