Adrie (Adriaantje) died peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in the arms of her husband Arie and surrounded by her six children at Diamond House in Warman, SK.

Adrie was the sixth child born to Adriana and Hendrick Verheuvel, January 19, 1931 in Krimpen a/d Lek, Netherlands. Adrie is survived by her loving husband Arie of nearly 70 years marriage and six children: Adriana, Linda (Marshall), Arie Jr. (Leslie), Rick (Kim), Elsa (Rob) and Tim (Karen). Oma to: Pamela, Jill, Luke, Sean, Katrina, Patrick, Christopher, Brianna, Clark, Rachelle, Carson, Rylan, Avery and Brandon. Great Oma to Eve, Courtney, Nash, Beau, Clive, Pierce, Maeve, Leo, Hollyn, Isaiah, Lizzie, Jagger, Carter and Lexie. She is also survived by her brother Jaap (Corrie) of Sleuuwijk, Netherlands.  She was predeceased by her mother and father and siblings Pieter, Jans, Cor, Alie(1), Alie(2) Jan, Anna, Henk and Willem.

Mom came over to Canada in 1952 to be married to her fiancé on June 25, in Weyburn, SK In January 1953, they moved to their new home in Saskatoon and started up Dutch Growers Garden Centre on the outskirts of Sutherland. Mom and Dad were a strong team and worked hard to build up their family business with their six children. They raised their children to have good work ethics, a strong faith and family values. Mom loved working side by side with her family and was a wonderful mentor to all of us. Over the many years, it was good for all of us to see the strength of Love and faith our Mom and Dad had for each other right to the very end. Mom always had the best Dutch soup on the stove and many visitors came in for the warm hospitality. Sundays were always so special, as we as family played together and prayed together. Travelling was such an adventure for Mom and Dad as they travelled around in their RV across North America before settling in Hemet, California. They took many cruises and world-wide trips to Europe, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan and more. They loved bird watching, hiking, visiting churches, choir concerts and making life long friends. We have over 100 photo albums to show for it. Whereever Mom and Dad attended, she was a strong member of her church and very involved in the fellowship, choirs and teaching Sunday School. Mom and Dad were lifelong members of the Saskatoon Rotary club, enjoying the bowling, curling, and card nights each month. Mom enjoyed playing cards, crafts, curling, greeting card making and listening to fine music and computer games. Adrie will be dearly missed by her family. However, we will always be grateful to the Lord for the wonderful memories that will bring us all much peace and joy. Much appreciation goes to the staff from Diamond House in Warman from Mom and Dad and the whole family.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Sutherland Evangelical Church (110 – 104th Street) on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:00 am. It is family’s preference that those attending do wear masks.
