He was also predeceased by several uncles, aunts and cousins. Larry grew up on the family farm at Sovereign with brothers Darryl, David and Chris until 1958 when the family moved to Zealandia. There the family ran a Garage and Service Station. It didn't take very many years and Larry was at the garage helping his Dad pump gas and standing on a pop box to clean windshields. No child labour laws in the Billett family! In 1967 the family moved to Harris, where Larry graduated from Harris Tessier High with honours in 1970. He then enrolled in the Technical Institute in Moose Jaw where he graduated from Drafting Technology. He could now put his passion of "strategic game of War planning" to use in a different way. After graduation he worked in Regina and in Saskatoon for the Government of Saskatchewan as a Sr. Planning Consultant in the community Planning Branch for Ministry of Municipal Affairs. He was awarded the Fraser- Catrell Memorial in 2010. Larry was very dedicated to his profession and came to be well known in Saskatchewan as he helped develop many Saskatchewan communities. Some staff at the office became a "second family" to Larry. After marrying in 1985, he helped raise 2 boys and built a new house in Saskatoon. Larry learned the Billett traits of being a carpenter, plumber, electrician and of course mechanic. Larry loved music, as was evident by his large Vinyl Record collection. He was also a collector of Comic books. Larry's family, co- workers and friends meant a lot to him and they always remembered him with an annual Birthday gathering and staff Christmas party every year in Parkridge. This year was no exception! Throughout the past 6 years Larry and his extended family of the Billetts, Bells and Loves learned that Angels do walk among us, and some of them work at Parkridge Centre in Saskatoon.
