Coleen Delores Sivertson

January 6, 1949 – October 11, 2022

Coleen Sivertson, 73, of Shell Lake, Saskatchewan recently moved to Warman, Saskatchewan, died October 11, 2022, at The Hospice at Glengarda, after suffering a bilateral stroke.

She was born on January 6th, 1949, to Ben and Adeline Ripka in Outlook, Saskatchewan. She married Greg Sivertson on June 10th, 1967 after being close friends for years, and remained life partners ever since. Coleen attended Hawarden School where she broke numerous records in the senior age group as a midget. She qualified for all provincial track meets that she was eligible for. She was a natural athlete and a kind hearted competitor.

Coleen held many positions over the years, however her most valued would have been raising her family. She took pride in everyday activities, such as cooking, cleaning, baking, gardening, and walking. She appreciated nature and cared for many animals over the years.  Coleen was the most gracious, kind, and soft spoken lady. She lived life selflessly and never complained.

Her loyalty, strength, consideration, and unconditional love will forever be remembered and appreciated. Coleen lived a life of faith, but she kept an open mind and knew love should remain at the forefront of any belief system. She was honourable, intelligent, strong, caring, musically inclined, and extremely witty. In times of despair she remained steadfast. Coleen was one of a kind and truly unforgettable. She will be greatly missed forever, and all the days after that.

Coleen is survived by her husband, Greg, their son Blair (Debbie); their daughter Krista; her grandchildren Curtis, Adam, Rebecca (John), and Ariel Ifield (Aaron); her great granddaughter’s Lexi, Ember and another on the way; her brother Allan Ripka (Fern); sister Sandra Marfell (Terry), and numerous extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal; and parents, Ben and Adeline Ripka.
