Obituary of Audrey Pat Stead

A LIFE WELL LIVED
 
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Audrey ‘Pat’ Stead after a brief illness.  She is lovingly remembered by her children Lana; John (Sophie) and children Nicholas, Michael and Rose; Bob and children Jillian (Mac) and Robert; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Edith Stead and numerous nieces and nephews across Canada. Pat was born and raised in Saskatoon, the third of four daughters of Alexander and Mary Paterson.  She met and married the love of her life, Keith, in 1949 while both were working at Federated Co-Op.  Pat loved Saskatoon but hated the long winter months.  She will be so happy to never go through another one again! Mom will be fondly remembered for her love of art, all things fashion and home design, winning against her sons at gin rummy, Dr. Phil, and her love of dogs. Pat was predeceased by her husband Keith, her son-in-law John MacIntosh, her sisters, Marie (Jim), June (John) and Joan (Gavin), and sister-in-law Doreen. At Mom’s request there will be no funeral.  A private celebration of her life will be held by her family at St. John’s Columbarium where she will be reunited with our Dad.  You will be missed Mom!
