Sharon Lee

Obituary of Sharon Lee

It is with tremendous sadness that we say farewell to our dearly cherished Mom and sister, Sharon Lee (nee Quong), who left this world too early but passed away peacefully and confidently with her devoted family by her side on November 19th, 2022 in Saskatoon, SK.

Sharon is survived by her loving kids, Michelle (Trevor Norelius) and Christine (Keith Ziemann); sisters, Judy (Paul Lomheim) and Jeanne (Brent McDonald) with niece and nephews Jaden, Matthew and Sheridan; brothers, Ed with nieces and nephew Kyle, Megan, Janessa and Kaitlyn, and Al (Eileen Chan); sister-in-law, Alice (Stanley Leong) with nephews Nathan and Aaron; and brother-in-law, Christopher (Janet Haworth-Lee) with nieces Tiffany and Josephine. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dicky Lee; parents, Norman & Lillian Quong; and in-laws, Lee Chee Chong, Hsu Shu Min, Andris and Lily.

Sharon was born in Hong Kong, China and immigrated to Canada at the age of 10 and grew up in Prince Albert, SK where she attended Riverside High School. Sharon had a significant career with RBC spanning over 40 years during which she attained numerous certificates and wore many different hats. She began her career in Prince Albert, and she and her young family would eventually move to Regina, SK where she worked at the main branch until its closure. Sharon finally settled in Saskatoon working at the 8th & Goodwin branch until she officially retired in 2020.

Sharon loved to travel and was continually planning her next trip whether that be Hawaii, Calgary or Toronto. In addition to being an avid gardener, she was known for her knitting and crochet work. And when she wasn’t trying one of the newest restaurants with her friends, she was spending time or talking with her kids. Her kids were her life.

We wish to thank the medical and nursing staff at Royal University and St. Paul’s Hospital for their exemplary care, compassion, and support.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home. For those unable to attend the service, the family invites you to join the service via the livestream link located on her tribute page. Flowers may be sent to the Saskatoon Funeral Home.
