Obituary of Catherine Zeilner

Catherine Zeilner Catherine Zeilner died on February 29, 2016 at St. Paul’s Hospital. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph, in 1977 and her mother, Marie in 2002 and is survived by numerous cousins and friends. Catherine was born in Winnipeg, MB on August 29th, 1927 and moved to Saskatoon with her parents in 1931. She attended the Convent if Sion for 12 years and then was employed in the Federal Civil Service, retiring in August 1982. Catherine’s interests were many and varied, but horses always played the dominant role and the initial reason for acquiring the acreage in the Furdale area in 1961 and where she and her mother took up residence in 1979. She belonged to various organizations over the years with her C.W.L. membership being of the longest standing and her years in the Saskatoon Riding Club and Pavilion Association involving the most commitment. She asks her friends to consider making donations to the S.P.C.A. (5028 Clarence Ave. S, Saskatoon, SK S7T1A7) or a charity of choice

Funeral

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4th, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Parish. Rite of Committal will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery
