Our sincere condolences to you, Marnie and Kent, on your dad’s passing. He was without a doubt larger than life. Mom and dad loved visits with your folks, and had such admiration for Frank’s resourcefulness and down-to-earth nature in spite of his success. Dad loved to tell the story of how Frank “arrived in Canada with just $20 in his pocket!” I expect he and Colleen are having a great giggle together now. Thinking of you.

What a beautiful tribute to a man that was definitely larger than life, he will be remembered by many. I know he and Colleen held a special place in mom and dad’s (Carole and David) hearts. Condolences to the family.

We were sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. We knew Frank and Colleen since the late 1960s when he built his cabin at La Peche. He was one of the most authentic people we knew. Lots of good memories of Frank. Condolences to his family. Bob & Shaunne Davidson

Every encounter with Frank was an opportunity to learn something, a walk through his shop was fascinating, he made many of his own equipment and tools. The knowledge he carried in his head was expansive. Metallurgy, machining, and welding would be difficult to learn in a classroom. Any work I had done by him or his shop always exceeded my expectations. My condolences.

Frank was a diamond in the rough. I so enjoyed visiting him, he was very good to me, making me tools to fabricate fences on the ranch and getting me into my first portable welder. We had a lot of fun bartering and dealing on things. I loved his stories and will certainly miss him.
Our deepest condolences to Marnie and family.

Mrs, Marnie and Mr.Kent-Krystofyr!
I would like to say My sincerest condolences for You at this very sad time.
Mr. Frank was always very kind for my family and personally for me. I came to Canada in very dificult time for me and Mr. Frank helped us moraly and even financialy to start new life for us in Canada. We got selflessly help from Mr.Frank when we even did not know where to turn in and how to solve our problems. And Mr. Frank helped to solve them and some of them even with anicdotic situacion. From Mr. Frank I got a lot of practical knowledges from his expirience in metalworking.
I remember with gratitude this Big and kind-hearted man.

Frank was like a 2nd dad to me, he gave me my first accounting job at Franks Welding. He always took me out for a coffee and cruller donut, plus lunches at his favourite restaurants. He will be missed by so many people. Condolences to the Madsen family.
