Wen was my teenage friend and mentor. I admired her and her innate wisdom. She told me incredible stories from the perspective of an artist who was in love with Nature. Her motto: give people the benefit of the doubt. Wen studied under Allan Sapp who we both knew in our youth. Many of our friends were Native but to us just our friends. We didn't see race just good vibes. I have several of Wendy's paintings and a lithograph. Her work touched the deepest core of the soul - simple and lovely.
I know Wendy is surfing the spirit realm and free perhaps painting universal sky scapes now. I love you my amigo and comrade and wish you Bon voyage on your new adventures. See you at the great gig! Nanny
