Jacob Stroh

Obituary of Jacob Victor Stroh

Jacob Victor Stroh "Jack" sadly passed away, on the 27 of April 2016. He will be dearly missed by his wife Loretta "Bernie”, and children Shad(Roxane), Amber, and Travis(Melissa). His four loving grandchildren Dejia (Derek), Lincoln, Mackenzie and Avery as well as two great-grandchildren Easton and Ryder. He will be met in heaven by his awaiting parents Emmanuel "Manny" and Frances Stroh. His little sister Marianne is also there to welcome him. Born in Paddockwood on July 20th 1942, Jack had the heart of a 'farmboy' even as he moved on to Vancouver where he started his family and a successful career in shipping and sales. He was an avid athlete who played amateur hockey and never missed a game or a score. Infatuated with the open road, gazing at buffalo, camping as well as his zeal for trains. Often taking his children on journeys to Saskatchewan where he resettled in 1990. He was a devout catholic, active in both the church and charity alike. From donating blood to taking in foster youth. With a great sense of humor and a deep kindness he was an amazing man who has touched so many lives. This owner of near every country album recorded, and a few eight tracks in his Fords, likely from his vast trucking days. A savvy handyman with nothing he could not fix. Fearless, except maybe when admitting he was lost. A bit stubborn, a lot lovable and astonishingly strong and determined. As we now let go and let the winds of heaven lift a good one away. So to that Hero we say; If we could write a story-It would be the greatest ever told Of a kind and loving father-Who had a heart of gold We could write a million pages-But still be unable to say, just how Much we love him and will miss him Every single day
