Obituary of Patricia Dumont

Dumont, Gail September 8, 1940 - July 22, 2015 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of a beautiful person we had the honor to call Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and friend. Gail Patricia was born to Doris & Andrew Kraley in Brandon MB. She grew up part time with her grandma Martha Holinaty on the farm near Wakaw, a place she spoke fondly of. She also had her other siblings, Andrew (Marilyn) Kraley & Eva (Neil) Smart. Mom was a strong lady who would give you the shirt off her back. She was always there for her family. She had several different jobs in her life but being mom was her #1 priority, then becoming a grandma was her life reward. Gail worked for Veterans Dry Cleaners, Model Bakery, Albany Hotel and the Barry Hotel. She was a force to be reckoned with and didn't put up with any BS in those establishments and was respected for that and a friend to many. Mom loved and appreciated the simple things in life, her pets, Elvis, Johnny Cash, gardening, fishing, traveling, being with friends and family and a nice cold beer. She loved to garden and if the size of her garden was a sign of love, love was plentiful. In recent years she still loved to plant flowers and watch them grow. A favourite of hers was the sunflower. Mom often spoke of her trip of a lifetime she took with her sister Donna (Butch) through the USA to Mexico stopping in Graceland to see where Elvis lived. She was also a member for many years to the ladies bowling league at both KG and Fairhaven bowl, one of "The Rusty 5". She still loved Bowling but with her grand kids on the Wii. Mom was a great cook. She enjoyed cooking and canning for her family and loved to share what she made. You would never leave her house hungry. She lived her life for her three grandchildren. Always attending school functions, sport functions and spending every possible minute with them. She love to watch them at whatever they were doing and always smiled when she spoke of her 3 J's. They miss their Grandma already. We have so many memories of this wonderful lady we could easily fill this newspaper. We will remember her great personality, her awesome laugh, her love of life. We will miss her dearly and will love her forever. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Doris & Andrew Kraley, Siblings Andrew Kraley, Robert Kraley, Donna Olson, Husband Alan Dumont, And special friend Melvin Yakimchuk. She is survived by her Son- Roland Lee Dumont, Daughter- Charmaine Dumont -Budd (Rob) Grandchildren - Jaron, Janae & Jason. Siblings – Orville Kraley (Laurelle) & Dorothy Kraley(Dan). Sister in law Lillian Dumont. Numerous nieces and nephews and several friends.
