GEORGE ALEXANDER McCUBBING July 15, 1954 - July 24, 2015 It is with profound sadness that the family announces that the death of George McCubbing occurred on July 24, 2015 at the age of 61 years. George is survived by his loving wife Anne, their four children Jamie (Raymond), Bob (Sandy), Bradley (Antia) and Scott (Erin), four grandchildren Jaiden, Nicholas, Rayna and Ivy, his sisters Jean and Margie (Jim), brothers-in-law Jack (Elsie) and Jim (Debbie) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Betty, his sister Dorothy and brother-in-law Don. George was born in Unity and raised in Luseland. He met and fell in love with Anne Ramsden in Edmonton. They were married in Whitehorse, later moving to Saskatoon where they raised their four children. George served on the Saskatoon City Police Force for 29 years prior to his retirement. He actively served his community through Scouts Canada, the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners, Big Brothers and Sisters, the Law Enforcement Torch Run, McClure United Church and many years as a Telemiracle volunteer. George was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed biking across Western Canada with Anne. He was also an accomplished scuba diver and instructor. George will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his loving family and many friends and associates

Funeral

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday morning, July 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at McClure United Church (Taylor St. and McKercher Drive). In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
