Obituary of Kim Vickaryous

Kim Vickaryous December 4,1966 - January 9, 2017 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Kim Vickaryous on January 9th.2017 in Saskatoon. Kim is survived by her husband Dan and 3 lovely daughters, Jordan and the twins Kendall and Cassidy of Saskatoon, her parents Jim and Wanda Vickaryous of Prince Albert, her sister Keely(Brad) and their kids Billie and Jack of Saskatoon and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kim was born in Saskatoon, but would spend most of her childhood being raised in Prince Albert. The family would also spend some time living in Nova Scotia which Kim was very proud of. The family would eventually move back to Saskatoon where Kim attended St. Anne’s Elementary School and graduate from City Park Collegiate in 1984. Throughout this time the family would spend much of their time travelling back and forth to the family farm outside of Prince Albert where Kim would spend much time with her cousins. At the young age of 13, Kim would enter the work force. There was no job Kim didn’t try or succeed at. From firefighting in Norman Wells in the Northwest Territories, to working Pipeline, and working as a hockey Trainer and fitness instructor there was no job Kim couldn’t tackle. Kim would pursue different educational opportunities including business, nursing and fitness, but it was in business where Kim would find her strengths. Kim’s passion for business would have her run many successful businesses in Kelowna, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Calgary. Kim was great at managing business. She had high expectations of her staff and every customer who came in contact with her would feel her genuine desire to give them a great experience. Kim particularly had a gift for working with the mature cliental. Many would return to just to have a conversation with Kim.While in Calgary, Kim would eventually meet the love of her life Dan Remenda. The two would eventually raise three lovely daughters Jordan and the twins Kendall and Cassidy, each which exhibit the most beautiful qualities of their mother. Kim and Dan would eventually move back to Saskatchewan moving to Prince Albert and Saskatoon. Kim and Dan would take their passion for business and run successful restaurants in Prince Albert and Saskatoon. Most recently the two opened a business in Blaine Lake, J.C Madison’s Family Restaurant named after their daughters. Kim had a passion for fashion and home design. She would spend much of her spare time doing many home reno projects. There was no task should couldn’t accomplish in this area. Kim enjoyed reading, fitness, watching movies, and spending quiet family time with Dan, the girls and her beloved pets. Much of Kim’s adult life was spent on the family farm where she would relax with her family and also pursuit continual renovation projects. Kim would also enjoy time in Palm Springs and Yuma. Kim requested an intimate family service which was held on January 13th, in Saskatoon. A Celebration of Life will occur at the family farm this Spring. Because of Kim’s love for animals, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA . Cremation arrangements are in care of Saskatoon Funeral Home.
