February 22, 1941 - August 20, 2015
Our beloved wife, mother, grandma, great grandma has found peace in the hands of God. Josephine is well remembered by family and friends as a woman who loved nature, travelling, cooking, gardening and the simple things in life. Her home was a secure nest that allowed her "little birds" to fly with confidence and independence. Growing up during the war years in the former Yugoslavia, and being one of 13 children she always appreciated large family gatherings filled with song, laughter and good food. She leaves behind her husband, Edwin Povhe, daughters, Dorothy (David) Hyde, Julianna (Barry) Radcliffe, Erica Povhe and her grandchildren Erik (Erin), Marina, Kathlyne, Alana and great grandchildren Rowan, Aleina, and baby Keith. Her family back home in Slovenia shares this loss. She will be missed by the Povhe and Konecnik families and the many special friends who were her extended family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
