It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Ralph Arnold on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the age of 85, at Royal University Hospital.

He is also remembered by his grandchildren Jarrid (Kimberly), Chantal (Erik), Emily (Steve), Aiden, Kieran, and great-grandchild Aurora. Additionally, he leaves behind siblings Alvin, Marion, Marjory, Alfred, Dianne, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Melita, and siblings Art, Gordon, Harvey, Elmer, Ken, Mildred, Edna, Lois, and Leonard.

Born on March 14, 1938, on his parents' homestead, Ralph was the seventh of 15 children and spent his formative years on the family farm near Shamrock, SK. On November 10, 1962, he married Alice. Ralph began his career off the farm with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in Dendron, SK, later joining the Credit Union in Swift Current in 1971. After living in 8 different Saskatchewan communities, he transferred to Saskatoon in 1979, retiring from the Credit Union in 1998. Post-retirement, he briefly worked with the Commissionaires and then with his sons Todd and Kirby at Complete Construction until 2008.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Ralph played various sports as a child, including hockey, and coached all three of his sons in the sport. He remained actively involved in supporting and cheering for his grandchildren in their hockey and other sporting endeavors, as well as their school activities and hobbies. A devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs since childhood, Ralph watched every game he could and instilled his love for the team in his sons and grandchildren. He also had a fondness for the Roughriders and Blue Jays, always offering constructive feedback on how teams could improve. From 1998 to 2017, Ralph and Alice cherished moments at their cabin in Pebble Baye at Iroquois Lake, creating lasting memories with family and friends during holiday times.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Ralph's life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Saskatoon Funeral Home.
