Obituary of Frances Bowler

The family of Fran is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Parkridge Centre. She was born in Saskatoon on May 23, 1945 and spent her youth on the farm at Langham before moving to Saskatoon with her parents where she attended Bedford Road and Mount Royal. She worked in a variety of clerical roles in Saskatoon, Regina and Vancouver before marrying Keith on July 31, 1971 in Saskatoon.

For many years, weekends and summer holidays, were spent at their cabin at Big Shell Lake with family and friends. Fran and Keith also travelled across Canada by train, including many road trips around Saskatchewan which Fran truly loved. Fran lived at Parkridge Centre for the past several years where she and Keith made many friendships with residents and staff.

Fran is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Keith, their daughter Joanne, her sisters-in-law Margaret Duquette and Maureen Anderson and many nieces and nephews who played an active role in her life. Fran is predeceased by her parents, Fred and Tina Osatchoff, her sisters Margaret (Allan) Brown and Evelyn (Peter) Hankewich, in-laws Mary and Stanley Bowler, Ken Bowler, Terry Anderson and Marcel Duquette.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Parkridge East 2 for their compassion and care provided to Fran during her stay. She always spoke fondly of them all.
