Obituary of Betty Taman

Betty Taman November 16, 1929 – September 18, 2015 It is with deep sadness that the family of Elizabeth Louise Taman (nee Brown) announces her peaceful passing at Samaritan Place in Saskatoon. Betty is survived by Bob, her husband of 65 years, their four children; Debi (Bob) Coffin, Jim (Bernadette) Taman, Jerre (Stuart) Stone, Chuck (Charlene) Taman, and their families, a sister, Shirley Parton, brothers in law Ray Robinson and Don (Pat) Taman, and members of her large, extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Hank and Roxie Brown, grandson, Jonathon Taman, by her brother, Jim, and sisters, Roxanna, Irene and Sheila. Betty's first love was her husband and family and the life they shared. She was actively involved in several community organizations and service groups. Her early working years were spent at the CNIB and, after raising their family, Betty was employed for 23 years by the Saskatoon Public Library, Frances Morrison Branch, until her retirement. The family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to the management and staff of Samaritan Place, Betty's home for the last years of her life and would especially like to recognize the care partners and nursing staff directly responsible for her care. Thanks also to Dr. Nora McKee and associates, West Winds Primary Health Center.
