Welcome to the Edwards Family Centre

A community need, a community responsibility - The importance of family and community are part of the fabric of the Wm. A. Edwards Family. The Edwards Family Centre was established to provide a place to serve in ways which express these values.

The Centre was opened in 1995, as a first of its kind facility, winning the "Best New Idea" Award for North America by Selected Independent Funeral Homes.

The Centre fills a community need for access to services and support related to death and grieving and over the years has provided use of the facility to over 100 self-help, caregiving, bereavement and non-profit community groups and organizations.

The Facility is accessible, with open foyer, private family sitting room, a community seminar room and large central assembly reception area, as well as a bereavement resource lending library.

Receptions & Gatherings

The gracious hostess staff at the Edwards Family Centre provide premier service for all manner of gatherings be it following a Prayer Vigil, a traditional Funeral or Memorial Service as well as less formal Come & Go Tea events or a full Memorial Reception.

Educational Resources

Educational Presentations and Speakers Bureau: Educational and informative presentations can be booked for luncheon and dinner meetings, as well as any regular or special meeting of your club, association, church or social group.

Bereavement Support

Recognizing a need that extends beyond the funeral we provide the families we serve as well as the community at large with bereavement resources, information and access to programs which we hope are a source of help, understanding and support.

Community Groups at the Edwards Family Centre

The Edwards Centre is privileged to support many non-profit community groups and organizations, making the facilities available to them for their weekly, monthly and annual meetings and gatherings.
