Obituary of Eudora Mildred Hartt

HARTT, EUDORA MILDRED (NEE CHOVIN)
1945 – 2018

With heavy hearts, Eudora’s family announce her peaceful passing, March 19, 2018, at Extendicare Preston. Her sister Marjory and Eudora’s friend Alice were at her side. Eudora was the adored, youngest child of Mack and Phyllis Chovin. She was a tiny baby, under four pounds, born in the car a block away from Saskatoon City Hospital. She grew up on the family farm outside the town of Vanscoy. She attended Vanscoy School and King Edward in Saskatoon. Eudora had a kind and gentle nature with a mischievous streak that often popped out. Eudora’s favorite things were people, babies and music.
After her father’s death, Eudora and her Mom moved to Saskatoon. Eudora met Loyde in Saskatoon. They married in 2000. Loyde and Eudora loved each other dearly. They always did things together. Eudora enjoyed the apartment they shared on 5th Ave., and the friends she met there as well as many activities; bingo, shuffle board, dances, outings, and the Monday night dinners. Eudora is survived by her husband of almost eighteen years, Loyde Hartt, her sister Marjory Penner (Ron), her sister-in-law Eleanor Guina, her brother-in-law John Hartt (Janet), her sister-in-law Fran Hinter (Keith), her niece Debbie Chovin (Dan), her nephew Randy Chovin ( Sandra) and great nieces Marlie Chovin, Brittany Hiebert (Justin), Tenay Diggins (Cody), Brooklynn Chovin as well as four great-great nephews;  Jake, Beckam and Jasper Diggins and Carter Hiebert and her Chovin and Clarke cousins. Eudora was predeceased by her parents  Mack and Phyllis Chovin, her brother Cecil Chovin, her aunt Alma Boyle and her uncles James Chovin (Annie) and Bernard Clarke (Devona). A Graveside service will be held for Eudora on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (east on 8th St, first right past Briargate Rd). Those  wishing to attend can meet at the Cemetery gates at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Extendicare Resident Council re: Bus Fund, 2225 Preston Ave. Saskatoon Sk. S7J 2E7 or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family wishes to sincerely thank all the staff at Extendicare Preston for the gentle, loving care Eudora received. Eudora had a life of beauty, love and laughter. She will be forever in our hearts.
