Obituary of Michael Brent Moulding

Michael Brent Moulding
September 26, 1955 – May 7, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Brent Moulding announce his sudden passing on Monday, May 7th, 2018, at the age of 62. He was predeceased by his parents Myron (Mike) and Dorothy (Dot) Moulding. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deb Reisner; his children Erin (Kyle) Moulding and Lisa (Ed) Moulding; his brothers Bill Moulding, Don (Sandy) Moulding, and Chuck (Carol) Moulding; his sisters Kathy (Bob) Ward and Mary (Rob) Thorn; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Brent was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and moved to Saskatoon to attend dental school at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating in 1982. While in university, he met and married Deb Reisner, and they spent two years in North Carolina for Brent’s specialty. They moved back to Saskatoon in 1985 and Brent began private practice and teaching dentistry at the university. They welcomed daughters Erin and Lisa in 1989 and 1991, and raised their family in Saskatoon and at Buffalo Pound Lake in the summers.

Brent enjoyed playing and winning at bridge, and any other card games that require skill but not chance. He also played some board games, including backgammon and in later years, Ticket to Ride, which he played with Deb constantly. He enjoyed spending time with extended family at the lake and on the regular Tuesday pizza nights at the house. After his retirement, he began spending yet more time at the Bridge Club, and taught himself how to cook, much to Deb’s enjoyment. They continued regular February trips to Maui with family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, May 13th at 1:00 pm at the Saskatoon Bridge Club, 3041 Louise St, Saskatoon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brent’s name may be made to the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry student awards.
