Obituary of Mary Melissa Farley

Mary Melissa Farley September 24, 1923 - July 18, 2015 Mary's family announce her passing on July 18, 2015 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. She was born in Saskatoon on September 24, 1923. She lived in Saskatoon and Moose Jaw and returned to Saskatoon as a young child. Mom attended Buena Vista Elementary School and Nutana Collegiate. She worked at Eaton's for about 4 years. When Dad was discharged from the Navy and came home, she quit work and they married on May 28, 1945. In 1978, Mom and Dad moved to Vancouver for Dad's work. They were there for 25 years and returned to Saskatoon in 2004. Mom and Dad enjoyed several trips to Hawaii and several cruises. She took up golf and wasn't bad at it either. She did lots of petitpoint, needlepoint and other crafts. She was a good bridge player too. Her hands made many meals, ironed many shirts, baked many Butter Tarts, sewed many Square Dance clothes and put lots of bandaids on skinned knees. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Pearl Jones; her husband John of 69 1/2 years (November 20, 2014); her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Doreen and Bob Kargut. Mary is survived by her only daughter Lynda (Walter) Neufeld; niece Susan (Merv) Kargut and nephew John Kargut. e. They lived their lives together, played together, loved together and now they are together again for ever. Love You.
