Obituary of James Gordon Dunn

DUNN, James Gordon
December 16, 1947 – July 5, 2019

James Dunn passed away suddenly with his family by his side at Royal University Hospital on Friday, July 5, 2019. James was born December 16, 1947 in Winnipeg Manitoba. He lived in Winnipeg and went to school there until age 26. He attended Red River College in Winnipeg where he met the love of his life Janet. He then went on to a long career in food services working for Marriott as a Director of Food Services in Hospitals and Rehab Centres. Jim had a love for the Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota Vikings and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Jim and Janet  enjoyed traveling with trips such as an Alaskan cruise, Las Vegas and loved traveling to Vancouver Island. He loved to golf when he was younger,  loved to cook and had a special place in his heart for Waskesiu.  He had a special bond with his children, grandchildren. Family was everything to him and he would do anything for them. Jim had a massive heart. Get togethers with the family for special occasions were very important to him. Jim will be missed by his daughter Lisa Teichroeb (Dale) and their family, Kayden Teichroeb and Ryan Dunn (girlfriend Kayla); son Greg (Angela) Dunn and their family, Mason and Elizabeth. Also surviving Jim is his sister Irene McQuade, mother- in- law Helen Kowlyk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Janet Dunn (Kowlyk) , his parents Melvin Dunn and Mary Goulet and by his aunt Anne (Bill) Gray.
